Leah was born and raised in Athabasca and after a stint in the professional music world she returned to raise her family in this beloved town. Writer, director, actress, singer and teacher, Leah has dappled in it all, and now finds herself immersed in the growing arts scene in Athabasca.

Thankful for the years of extensive classical training in voice and language, at home and overseas, performing with Opera NUOVA numerous roles, opportunities with Edmonton Opera and the Okanagan Symphony, Leah is using that “bag of skills” to help cultivate the wellspring of talent in our community. Add a shout out to BRASS who allows returning artists an opportunity to pass it on, enriching our schools and community with quality and excellence in the arts, as well as a unique way to teach curriculum and partner with educators to bring new excitement to learning.

As passionate about music and the arts as she is, she is most passionate about stewarding her talents and using her music to praise the “giver of gifts”, our beloved saviour Jesus Christ, to whom all the glory belongs. Without Him I am nothing.
