ABOUT US

 

We are ordinary people coming together to sing as a group to produce an extraordinary sound.  We are lead by an amazing woman who devotes countless hours and her heart to bring the gift of music to the community of Athabasca and any other community that is interested in having us sing for them.

 

We begin our journey every year in late August, receiving our music and practicing on our own until mid-September when we start rehearsals as a group and the magic begins.  Our journey arrives in mid-December when we present three (3) concerts to the public, at the Nancy Appleby Theatre in Athabasca.  The combination of 60 to 80 voices in 5 part harmony is an amazing and powerful sound. Throw in the passion and dedication of our director and the Northern Lights Spiritus Singers Christmas Concert is an event that you will not want to miss!

 

Not only does the choir give the gift of song to the community but we also raise money for local charities by giving whatever donations we receive from our concerts back to someone in need. If anyone is interested in giving a donation please feel free to contact us.
